This is my first post and just joined the forum. I am looking to buy a '62-'66 Chevy C10 for a project/mild restoration. My wife and I have each have a small side hustle business that we would like to have an old truck as the "business" truck. My first truck when I was 16 was a 72 short bed which now I am regretting ever selling years ago. Now, 35 years or more later, I am looking for the body style before the 72 to work on. I am not out to build a show truck, but restore something to be a nice truck to drive. My question is, where is the best place to go looking for these trucks? I have been on websites and online, but I don't get returned calls or all the ones I ask about are pending sales or no longer available but still show on the websites as available. And many of the sites just have the same trucks listed as another website. Back in the day, I would look in the newspaper. But, they don't seem to be many trucks listed that way either. Just looking for some advice on best places to look when in the market for an old truck. And, if anyone has bought one on line, what was the experience like and did it go well. Did you buy it sight unseen? Just wondering how the online purchase would go. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
