I've recently taken on a restoration project for a family member since the truck has sentimental value and I have no paperwork on it and I can't seem to be able to decode the serial number with the research I've done and I've came up empty handed I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this truckIts a mid to early 50s 6400 dump truck I'm just trying to get a specific year and engine model so I can try to find partsThe serial number is w54j003084

Probably a 49 or 50. The 235 came out in 1941, but was mainly used in medium duty trucks, not pickups, until.then.

i believe that is a 54 or early 55, by the grille. i have a similar one, just a few years older.
