5 speed clutch or trani problem
So I have a 2007 Chevy Cobalt coupe two-door five-speed transmission 2.2 liter engine. My problem is I just recently got a clutch put in it. It wasn't a manufacturers original clutch. It was something that I found on eBay. Anyhow, after it was put in I had it for about a little over a month and it started slipping again. My RPMs would jump up and down when I was trying to get them high enough to switch gears. I noticed first gear had been dragging really bad. It was hard to put it in first gear once in a while sometimes when I shift from 1st to 2nd the RPMs would shoot up so Hi, that I would have to float from second to third right away. Now it barely moves. I have to push the gas down so far and shoot it all the way up to 6000 RPMs before it even starts to move and that's only in third gear. So I'm not sure if it's a clutch problem again or if it's a transmission problem. Any kind of advice or how would be very very appreciated because I'm pretty green at this stuff. Oh and by the way, there is a little over 138,000 mi on it.
