Hello,

I own a 2005 2.2L Chevy Cobalt and the crankshaft has been broken. I was wondering if there are any other crankshafts that are for 2.2L and are compatible with my Cobalt. I would appreciate if someone can also give me a general or average price for a new crankshaft? thanks.... ChevyTheDog

You really should replace the engine.

at the moment i dont have the money to replace the whole engine. and i am taking an autoshop class. and i know that the only thing that needs to be replaced is the crankshaft.

Does anyone know what crankshaft would be compatible for the 2.2L 2005 Cobalt besides the cobalt 2.2L crankshaft?

If the crank broke there almost has to be other damage. Why did it break? Did something lock up? Have you disassembled the engine?

what i have seen so far the only thing that broke was the crankshaft i dont see any other damages to the engine and i just wanna replace the crankshaft
