Default Cobalt SS pioneer system

Im looking at installing an aftermarket system in my 05' ss. Just wondering what the rated watts on the pioneer speakers were, how to remove the rear speakers, and if id have to rewire the speakers to an aftermarket head unit.

so you're adding an aftermarket head unit to a factory installed pioneer speaker system?
Just look for an integration module for your particular sound system. Should have a set of RCA's on it to plug into the head unit. should make the install a breeze.

buy that kit.....You are going to splice a set of RCA's into the speaker leads of the integration module, and then just plug them into the rear of the radio. That will send a low level audio signal to the amp, and the speaker will not be distorted.
