Default Programing remote 06 cobalt

I'm new so I hope I can get some direction . Bought a 06 cobalt LT 2.2L for my son the car did not come with a remote key pob so I ordered one , but no instructions to program. can it be done inside the car ?

First of all check the SPID label(I beleive its in the trunk under the spare tire cover) for RPO code AUO. If you do not see that, stop wasting time and money because the vehicle is not equipped with a remote control doorlock reciever. If you do see that code, sorry to say, but the dealer needs to do the programming with the Tech2. Make sure all fobs are present at time of programming

thanks i'll check it out. I need to replace my 3.8 L that's in a rear wheel drive 99 camaro will a front wheel drive 3.8 work?
