programing "remote 2" 2003 suburban
I just bought a 2003 suburban LT autoride 2500. It only came with one key and one remote. the remote is the "driver 1" remote. I had a key made for my wife and bought a "driver 2" remote off ebay. I have the remote unlock memory seat turned on. does a dealer have to program the new remote or can I program it myself and still be able to use the memory seat with it. thanks

thanks for the site. I tried to program the remote. I was able to get "remote 1" to program but could not get "remote 2" to program. both remotes have matching FCC #'s. remote one works great it is just remote 2 that I can't get programed.

thanks. I have contacted him and so far no response. was this suburban even designed to have a "remote 2" or do I need to get another remote 1 or just a basic gm remote. the GM #'s on the remote 1 are: 15186200 and remote 2 #'s are: 15186201 both remotes have matching FCC #'s.

ok thanks. since they both have matching FCC#'s you would think that they would both program. I checked the battery in remote #2 and it has a good battery. since remote #1 works I think that I will have to go to the dealer and have them try and program it. that is the only option that I can think of. do the remotes have the same GM part number. I know that my #2 remote is just one number higher than the #1 remote
