Default 2017 Colorado Transmission Advice

Does anyone have experience/advice with selling their Colorado with the hard shifting issue to offer? I had the truck in for a month of repairs (2017 model) and still have the hard shifting issue. They can’t seem to resolve it. I feel stuck with trading it in to Chevy and getting a different Chevy truck but I don’t really want this circus again. Prefer to move onto another brand.

What engine and transmission do you have on your Chevy Colorado?

I believe that the 8 speed transmission is the issue. It could be the torque converter, not the transmission. I am not an expert on automatics, but I'd drain and replace the fluid, which should be done just to get rid of the break-in materials.

  • An different sign would be if your 2017 Chevy Colorado transmission warning light is on.
  • Strange smells are a sign your transmission fluid is burning inside your components.
  • If you notice an odd noise or grinding sound when you shift gears or if you feel your gears catching when you change them then your transmission achievable needs more lubricant or something more hazardous could be at fault.
  • One of the most basic signs is when your transmission shifts gears but the result of those shifts are delayed.

thank you. The issue I have is shifting between first and second gear. It doesn’t always happen but when it does it is a hard shift between those gears. It doesn’t happen regularly or with other gears.

Depending On How Hard The Shifting Is, Good Luck Selling It , Did You Try Any Stop Slip Additives ? I Assume You Have Had A Flush Already.. Me Personally. I Would Just Trade It In
