Hello all. I bought a 2020 z71 last year. Only has 12k miles. After the truck sits over night or after a few hours, I will start the truck up either by remote or manually to warm up. Once I take off, the truck struggles to shift from first to second upon initial take off, but does not do so for the remainder of the trip (whether it be 5 minutes or 3 hours) OR for the rest of any other gear switch.

Has anyone else come across this issue or have any recommendations?

 

I'm no expert with automatics, but since it's a warranty issue just take it to your Chevrolet Dealership and let the ASE professional techs repair it there.

 

My 2017 Z-71 had a similar issue which I brought up with my dealer. The advisor said the transmissions will have a issue every once in a while and will then be fine. I only have 12,800 on my, but no other issues.
