Default Colorado vs Silverado

I am looking to buy my next truck, I am torn between this black 2005 Colorado z71(not 4x4) crew cab with the 3.5L engine. Then there is this 2006 Silverado 1500 crew cab 2wd and a 2004 silverado regular cab 2wd.

Not quite sure which I should go for. What type of gas mileage should I see with both trucks.

What are the pros and cons of the colorado and expected problems.

The Colorado will probably give you better gas mileage but the Silverado is bigger and roomier inside. It depends on what you are looking for. Comfort at the expense of some economy? Do you need the bigger bed? We don't know what you want out of a truck. Only you can answer that question.

So basically the colorado is always breaking with that engine? I just want a truck big enough to be a truck, pull a jon boat somtimes, and that gets atleast 19-20 mpg hwy. If a silverado can get 19-20mpg on the hwy with a k&n and a free flow exhaust I would choose it.

My 5cyl Colorado 4wd gets crap mileage and the bed is to small. Things are always breaking and or throwing codes. The 300 dollar fuel vent solenoid twice. My 97TD Silverado gets better mileage and is more reliable, and if you know anything about the 6.5 Diesel Gm pawned off on the public, they are famous for unreliability. Get the Silverado.

Will the spare tire release tool for a Silverado work on a 2005 Colorado?
