I have an '08 Colorado. The passenger door will not open unless the gear shift is in PARK. If someone tries to open it without the truck being in PARK then the only way to get that door open is for the driver to walk around and "lock and unlock" the door with the key and then it opens.

Any ideas how to fix this? I've never seen a vehicle that won't let you out unless you're in park.
