Default Radio Blues

I'm new to this, so hopefully I'm doing it right. I have a 2008 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab. It has the stereo with the tweeters in the doors and On Star. I installed an Ipod interphase about a year and a half ago made by Simple. I got it to work on the aux. But last week it quit working. I took it off and updated the firmware and reinstalled it. Now my radio will not come on. It will show the time if you push a button and the little red light blinks (anti-theft), but that's all. I know I'm going to have to get the lock code, but I can't even get to that point. Any suggestions?

Hopefully this will help someone else. I took out the radio and the interphase and reinstalled the radio without the interphase and radio came back on and worked fine (without having to use lock code). I then reinstalled the interphase, and though it doesn't work the radio still works fine. If I ever get this figured out, I post my fix here.
