I have a 2016 Colorado LT it did not come with remote start so I had the dealer put it in when I remote start it works but when I put the key in the ignition and turn it the truck kills and the theft deterrent screen pops up and the truck locks me out did the dealer forget to enable remote start in the system in the computer so that it does not kill when the key is turned ? any thoughts

 

do you have to step on the brake before the key is inserted and turned to run?...or is stepping on the brake before turning the key causing it to shut down?

 

I am not touching the brake when I turn the key it shuts off and locks me out this morning I tried again 6 hours later still locked out then tried about an hour later did not use the remote start and it let me start the truck finally.
