The 2011 Chevrolet Colorado gets up to 25 mpg highway in the 2 Wheel Drive version and 24 mpg highway in the 4x4 version. Either of these vehicles would be a good choice. If you are looking to use it as a full blown truck it has a payload of 1410 pounds and can tow up to 3100 pounds in the configuration you are looking for. You also get our 5 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty and our 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty as well. I hope this information helps you. You may also want to look into the 2012 models as well seeing as they are coming out soon.

Evidently the newer models have more smog control on them. My '04 gets an easy 25 in town. Off the line it will keep up with a 350 v-8 all day long. What's wrong with this picture? Not mention the evident way better gas mileage.
