Question What can I do to give my 05 Colorado more horse power?

I am looking for inexpensive ways to give my Colorado more horse power. It's a 2005 Chevy Colorado 3.5L 4x4 crew cab. I know nothing about trucks and what I can do to give my truck more horse power.

So that's why I am asking what can I do to give my truck more horse power?

Put headers and an exhaust on it.

Depends on your definition of "inexpensive"... How much do you want to spend and how fast do you want to go?

There is no inexpensive way to make enough horsepower that you could feel a difference.

Spend the money on road trips into the wilderness and simply enjoy your stock Colorado

I used to have a blast in a 78hp Mercedes 240 diesel. Horsepower isn't the only path to fun.

Use good quality products to do a tuneup, make sure your tires are properly inflated, and drive like a granny. Every jackrabbit start and every time you try to shove that brick over 65mph is gonna lower your mpg.

Just put gas in it keep up with the maintenance and drive it. Save your money it will never be fast. You start playing with it you will likely cause more problems. When you get out of college by a toy to make go fast. I have a 1993 Mustang, got it when I was 17. By the age of 21 my license was restricted to work and educational use only (too many points). I modified the car so much that it was really not street able anymore. I can watch the gas gauge move when I stomp the pedal.

Yep just drive it like a granny for mileage. I have one as well and won't spend a dime on any upgrades except for good maintenance. It will never get great mileage. My 97 6.5TD is what I use for mileage. Got rid of the GM motor though for GEP engine.
