Default 700R4 Transmission

Can someone tell me what I would need to install a 700R transmission in my 1979 Corvette?

Should bolt directly to the block if it's a chevy 700r4 and not a pontiac, a t.v. cable, torque converter, and make sure the t.v. cable is adjusted correctly, if its not the trans will burn up in less than 25miles.

And possibly some modifications to the trans supprt and cross member, drive shaft length and shifter linkage. It all depends on what you have now, automatic or manual?

Check out the '82s as that's what they had. Might get/borrow an '82 AIM and factory shop manual.

I would guesstimate that the driveshaft will need a resizing, as well.
