I'm a covette lover and I love the new zr1. but if I had the money I too would go wit the z06 for $70k you could always spend a little more and make it faster than the zr1. If you bought the z06 for $70k and put $60k more into it, you would have a car thats a hell of a lot faster then the zr1.

 

They have a tough enough time putting 640 BHP to the road in the ZR1. I'd hate to think how a ZO6 would react to any more than that.

 

I dont want to derail this thread, I think the zo6 corvette is an absolutely beautiful machine... but I wanted to point out that the ACR Viper is a 2 seater comperable to the zr1, and its been out for a little while. The window sticker on one of those is 105k dollars. YES the ACR is is much more gawdy, large spoiler and racing stripe paint job but the spoiler is fully functional and benificial in the corners as proved by the quickest production car time around the nurburgring (at least at the time). You get an 8.4l vvt all aluminum motor pushing 600hp without forced induction (personally i dig the forced induction).
