Default '14 Chevy Cruze - Satellite Radio Issue

I just financed a 2014 Chevy Cruze and when the vehicle is cold all you hear from any of the Satellite radio stations are quiet with some faint clicking when the vehicle is cold. The info screen will show the song title, artiste, station and other information it normally does without any other warning message, the music just will not play. Makes no difference where I am parked, and I am not parked under any blocking overhead structures. Problems happens no matter what time of day it's started. Once I start driving and the car warms up the radio will start playing again. Regular terrestrial (FM) stations play just fine regardless. Does anyone else have this problem?

That is odd, I work at a local Chevy dealership and I've never seen that before. are all the fans capable of going full speed? are any of the lights dim?

I don't see any voltage dropoff or anything dimming or losing power. It's up around 15V at startup then drops to around 14 to 13V when you start driving.

Did it again this morning (which was unseasonably cold). It does it everyday though.

No as I said above it doesn't do that with the terrestrial stations (FM and AM). They play fine no matter what.

yeah it was about -6 here this morning.
Does this only happen on cold days, or whenever your vehicle is not up to temp even on nice weather?
If it is the first, it is a problem with your antennae most likely

Well since I got the car in October, the temperature has gone relatively down a month later. The problem first started happening this month in November. So I'm pretty sure it is temperature related, though I'm not sure temperature of the car or ambient temperature, probably a mix of both. As it does take longer to start working again on colder days. It still does that on "nice days" too when the car is not up to temp.

From what I know any electrical/electronic issues that happen around temperature is most likely due to resistance problems.

I've known someone who had this problem and replacing the antennae worked.
what happens if you shut the radio off and back on right away?

Turning off and on the radio doesn't work either.

Is the antennae screwed in all the way?
Sorry for being stuck on this, but i still feel like something is wrong with the antennae.
Cold weather can wreak havoc on electronic devices. Cold causes the metals used in such things as the antenna to contract. It also causes condensation to occur as the metal thaws. This can lead to degradation of the wires surface. Electrons move over the copper wire, not through it as some may believe. Consider that copper will turn green when exposed to the elements. Look at your cold water pipes in your basement. You will notice that it is much darker than the shiny hot water pipe. This is because of condensation. The condensation can also affect connections within an electronic device. The best advice to counter the effects of the cold is to allow your radio the time to warm up before turning it on. The wiring outside will warm through “transference” as basic physics teaches us that heat moves from hot to cold. This will in fact warm even the outside antenna and its circuitry.

I saw my dealer after some scheduling discrepancies. He said he'll be ordering me a new radio this week and installing it.

I tried to screw in the antennae but it doesn't give any play either way that suggests it's "loose" or anything.
