2011 Chevy Cruze transmission issues
I have a 2011 cruze I bought in August 2011. Got in the car over the weekend, got about 10 feet and then the car just wouldn't go. Thought it had been bumped into nuetral. It would only go backward. Had it towed to the dealer and they have had it for four days. At noon today I was told it would be several days until I got my car back because they were going to have to tear apart the whole transmission and rebuild it. I told them to do research first because it seems like alot of people have been having this exact problem. By five this evening got a call saying its a shift cylanoid and that its on order and I should have it back tomorrow. I don't know if this will solve everything but lets hope its a better fix than rebuilding an entire transmission.*By the way they have me driving the 2014 Malibu while my cruze is in the shop. The malibu feels so much nicer than my little car, much more power to it.
Hi kg1111,
Sorry to hear that your Cruze is in the dealership for repairs. We apologize if this has inconvenienced you in any way, and hope that your dealership has the repairs completed within the next day or so. If there's anything we can do to help with this situation, please feel free to reach out to us. We'll be looking forward to an update once your Cruze is returned.

It sounds like the intake manifold, coolant issue debacle that GM deneid for some 7-9 years.
If there is a problem, and it sounds like, with these transmissions them GM needs to STEP UP and take responsibility for their mistakes.
I think at this point they have finally won back a lot of support from their customers but that could all go away again with another similar fiasco like the one stated above.
I've owned many GM's over the years, breaks my heart that they would not admit their mistakes and put the company in jeopardy.
