Default ABS and Stabilitrac lights on

Any cheap way to fix this yourself. local auto stores dont have an updated scan tool to check the codes. Any advise?

There's no real way to fix yourself without knowing what codes are for. Abs and stabilitrak lights can even come on for problem DTC set in engine or transmission control module. Best bet is to have dealer check it out. The cars communication architecture is a global A system and I don't know of any smaller local shops that will have capabilities to pull codes for you.
