Default Service Stabilitrac light came on

Turned on my 07LTZ yesterday and on the display read service stabilitrac, and service traction control system. The warning cycles twice then went away, a few minutes later, came back on, then havent seen it since. I did lower the Tahoe with a 2/3 kit a while back and the traction control light always comes on and flashes when turning and it sounds like the ABS is kicking in, but the other issue was happening when sitting in line to get out of a parking garage.

Mine just did the same thing. i was driving on dry roads on a sunny day and the "service stabiltrak" and "stabilitrak off" came on and stayed on. I drove to my next errand and when I restarted the truck the light wasn't on. I contacted OnStar and asked them to run a diagnostic in hope to have info for dealer. No codes?? Hasn't been on since.

Whose kit did you use to lower? I wasn't aware that anyone made one yet for a truck with Autoride.

If he's driving an "07LTZ" then it has "Autoride".

There have been many vehicles that have had the "Service Stabiltrak" trip even though no problem was present, 99% of the time the warning will extinguish and will not return. We believe it is caused by a code oversight within the compare speed algorithm.

I have a LTZ and the service stabillitrak has come on, but turned off and has not returned since. I have it on my list of items for my next service visit. I assumed it was part of my electrical gremlin that impacts my XM signal, rear camera, and blinkers.

How would the lowering kit affect Stabiltrak and ABS?

Don't know about the ABS but suspect that when you lower the vehicle, the level sensor (unless adjusted by the kit) confuses the computer since it's so far from the original reference level. Dave can probably answer for sure though.

Okay Shark, that is an interesting point. I would think the ride height sensor would have some adjustability built into it. Is it substantially different than the Trailblazer system? I know the TB SS guys are lowering the rear of their trucks just by cranking the sensor to the end of its adjustment limit.

FWIW, the 4/5 drop I installed did nothing to affect my ABS or Stabiltrak. Mine is an LT3, though. I specifically avoided the LTZ and its air suspension because I was planning to modify the truck.
