When I get the "Stabilitrac Off" message, no codes ever get set. The wire chafing claimed to be a source of this type of problem seems far-fetched to me. I guess I would change my mind if I saw the actual TSB.

Still having problems....this problem is repeatable.

Once again the stabilitrack service call message came on again, and the ABS light. 3rd time in last week. Damn computers.

My check engine light and service stabiliteak came on again tonight. This is the first time since it was reported to be fixed with the update software. It is going in tomorrow, we will see what the outcome is again.

Guys,

I know why this ain't fixed. It's because GM don't know how to fix it.

My problem is similar to yours --these anomalies are all involve the Stabilitrak in the symptoms.

I have asked ZX for help, he told me to check the stabilitack switch (hmmm?).

As I said before, these things are buggy. I have even called the TAHOE Product Development Team and they will not return my phone calls.

Two months and still not fixed.

I am wondering if the issues that are happening are just in early production or in brand new production also. My LTZ was built 1/2006, so its very early production. Its in the shop again today and well see what the outcome is. I wonder if GM will do anything if I call customer care.

jbcobb,
It is pretty tough to diagnose your Tahoe via the internet, but we have seen everything from faulty switches, shorted out pins, bad yaw sensors and modules and even contaminated wheel sensors cause problems like you are having.
If you take the vehicle to a competent Chevrolet Service Center and they get on the phone with GM Tech Assist they will get it sorted out, if they are unable to then have the selling dealer commence an arbitration to have Chevrolet replace the Tahoe. I really don’t know what more to tell you to do.

This is the exact same symptom mine had- those same warnings displayed on mine... the lights came on accelerating was hard and the shifting felt like a kick in the rear, I took it in- and they claim they cant figure it out, because once it sat for an hour it has not repeated itself yet... they blamed that my tire sensors but now after getting it out of the shop just yesterday,I had itin 4 wheel drive, and now the warning in the dash came on for a warning of the"4 wheel driveneeding service" so back into the shop it goes... its come on both timesI have hadit in4 wheel drive FRUSTERATING!
My tahoe has only 3500 MILES ON IT!

Well the Tahoe is still in the shop, should probably get it back tomorrow. I spoke with the Tech today and he told me that when the Check Engine light comes on, which mine has for a lean running condition, it will turn off the Stabilitrac system. I can see some relation to the Check Engine light, but the light has come on a few times before the check engine light has come on. They are road testing overnight tonight to see if the Torque converter TBS will apply to the car, seeing it has only seem to happen for me when cold. I will know more info and post tomorrow on it.
