this could be a symptom of low coolant or air in the cooling system. Its is a pretty efficient engine and they did have a tsb stating something like this may be detected. I would have to check the tsb to refresh my memory.
if you are still under base warranty...its covered. if you are out of base and only have powertrain warranty...you would have to check with a dealer
