Default Fan on all the time

I have a 2016 Cruze Limited 1.4T. My thermostat and both coolant temp sensors are new and working properly. Car runs great no codes, no check light and runs at the correct operating temperature-in the vicinity of 225 Fahrenheit when warmed up. The engine fan starts running when the guage reaches half way and runs constantly until I shut the car off, no matter how long that is. It isn't running on high speed just medium. It's 25 degrees tonight in Vermont and the fan never kicks off. I know it doesn't need to be on in this cold weather but its tough to troubleshoot this without a trouble code to guide me. When its 65 degrees out and I'm driving this fan is off most of the time, unless I'm sitting in stop and go traffic then it will cycle on and off like it should. I can't figure it out, my ambient temp sensor is working fine too. Anyone have suggestions I'd appreciate it. Thanks

After an overnight sit check the temperature of the 3 inputs. (the rad temp sensor, the engine temp sensor and the ambient temp sensor) They should all be within 1 degree, also running temp of 225 seems a bit high. Fan usually comes on about 208. At about 30MPH the fan will not cycle on as the software knows that airflow from road speed provides more airflow than the fan can provide. Lack of high speed can be from a failed fan resistor located on the fan shroud. The easy test for this is to unplug your airflow meter (AFM) connector with the engine running and the fan should default to high.It will set a code for the AFM. If the resistor is bad you will have to change the fan assembly as it is built as an integral part of the fan housing.
Hope this helps

I confirmed that my fan is working on 3 speeds. I'm on my second fan I had to change it once already because low burnt out on the original. I'm gonna try an ambient temp because it's cheap and it was off 3 degrees from my coolant temp with the car cold. Thank you for suggestions

Today I replaced the AAT and nothing changed. I still can't figure it out makes no sense that the ECU would command the fan on to run constantly when warmed up when its only in the 20s 30s and 40s outside. I hope I can figure it out before I cook my fan resistor. Again open to suggestions if anyone has any. Thanks

Might be your fan resistor is shorted? Just a suggestion.
