I had transmission issues twice under warranty and I was convinced it was damaged from the constant banging and sloppy shifting ...and the overheating ( twice) also the loss of transmission fluid also fixed under warranty ..my car was extremely low on fluid and ever sense then it was not working properly. This was at 20,000 miles ..and it was frustrating for sure but GM did fix the leak etc. But I was truly concerned about internal damage and wanted them to replace the transmission or buy the car back and I was serious .

If this is an automatic - is this the one with a dipstick or is it the sealed automatic transmission?

Default NO

Nothing but problems with them. Car will be in shop more than you will drive it. I know I have one. I've driven GM products for 20-25 years. Sad to say with all the problems the Cruze has presented me since purchase and after reading forums such as this, looking at consumer and automobile websites, etc. , it is time for another brand. Unfortunately I won't get much trade value for my GM product
