If my wife was ok with a stick the eco would have been a great choice and I could have loaded it up with all the options. The diesel barely covered my minimum standards, I want a lot. Two major advantages, 1 diesels are extremely happy at low rpms which pairs with the automatic perfectly. The throttle feel to transmission shift patterns matches. 2 MPG's are high, 50.5 is my average high so far with mostly all highway 55-70 MPH moderate traffic and a few blocks city.
