I live in Southern California and need to know how to treat a rat infestation under the hood for my ‘18 Chevy Cruze.

 

this will sound crazy but coyote or fox urine spray. You can get some from a hunting store. Reason it works is the mice think there’s something way bigger than them and get scared ****less and run…

if they have gotten into any harness, replace the harness and wrap it completely with Honda rodent tape, almost impossible for them to eat thru it




the only reason rodents go after electrical wiring is because the insulation of wiring on 99% of cars is canola based which tastes terrible to us but decent to them, some people think they bite on wiring to shorten they’re ever growing teeth.


this is how my shop treats it, for best results reapply that spray every 2-3 months.
