Not a problem gigahurtz, it's what I'm here for. Hopefully all will be well soon and you two will be able to get back to enjoying the vehicle.

So my son picked up his car 2 weeks ago after the transmission was replaced. Today, the car will not start and had to be towed to the dealer. The dealer told him the ignition was bad.

THE BEST PART The dealer gave him a toyota as a loaner, maybe the dealer thinks they're more reliable...

I'm sorry to hear about the issues your son has had with his Cruze. Has he gotten into contact with our Customer Assistance team yet on the issue or has he simply waited for the dealership to repair the vehicle? Thank you for your time tomv.

we're waiting to hear what the dealer finds. The Service manager has been good.
Obvously we are very concerned that these issues will continue.

Tomv,

Please let us know what the dealerships findings are. I completely understand that you are very concerned that this issue will happen again. In the unfortunate event that it does, please contact one of us and we will look into the issue for you.

Thank you,

Elizabeth, Chevrolet Customer Service

Good luck in your search for a brand or model that has never had a service issue. When you find a new car dealer that doesn't have a service department you will know you have found it.

GM sold 25,160 Cruze units in April alone and 75,365 Cruze units year to date plus the units sold in over 60 countrys for the last 2 years before being available in North America for the 2011 model.

Let me rephrase. Good luck in your search for a brand or model that has sold that many units and have not had at least a few that have broken down after like 1,000 miles or so.
