Default building a 305

ok i swapped the305 out of my 92 caprice for a 350. now i have a 305 just laying around that i wanted to build up in my spare time while i fix up my firebird. i was gonna rebuild the engine and probably bore it out. i heard that the blocks on a 305 and a 350 are the same, is there anyway i could turn that 305 into a 350 or would be cheaper to buy a 350 and build it up?

The difference between the 305 block and the 350 is the crank and the rods. If you get a 350 crank and rods then your 305 becomes a 350. The heads maybe different but if you are building a engine why would you want stock heads anyway.
