Hello i have a 88 trans am clone im building has a 305 tbi motor iv already converted it to carb with a wieand street warrior intake and edlebrock carb and i no every1s about to say just get a 350 but i already have the 305 and later id like to build a ls1 or ls6 for my real power plant my goal is to build a fairly cheap engine with good power Ive already have a cam on order its operating range is idle to 5500 rpm but my main concern is the heads i plane to port them myself but wanting to have the machine shop do a valve job whats a good sized valve to use keeping in mind not going extreme on this engine and also whats a good compression 2 run with out blowing out my 2bolt main also Ive put 3.73s in it and am also looking to buy a good 5 speed if any 1 happens to know of 1 look foward to hearing from you guys

Also would 350 tbi heads for the 305 and if so would that be a good choice to do
