How can one tell if it is bad or going bad ?
Will the dash/glove compartment have to be removed to change it out ?

pretty sure you can remove it from the engine compartment side.

Had the compressor changed and the idot that did the work, did not change the expansion valve.
Getting ice cold air now, but a ton of condensation and one day it only blew warm air after running for a long period on the freeway. 30 mins after sitting ice cold again.
