This plastic door handle broke off in my hand so I bought the part (OEM), and painted it to match last night. It looks like it might just pop back in but my gut tells me there must be a rod or hook on the inside. Does anyone know if the door panel needs to come off to re-install? The plastic tabs look like they could break easily.

Thanks, it is a simple instalation. Just inside the door there is a black plastic plug up near the lock. Pop it out and remove the #25 torx screw, this releases the plastic bezel around the lock cylinder, and allows you to slide the new handle in and forward. Replace the bezel and torx screw. It takes 5 min. No door panel removal needed.
