2005-2009 Chevy Equinox Dipstick
The engine oil dipstick on my equinox does not read a level even after an oil change. I would appreciate if anyone with the model would measure for me the length of the original dipstick.

The top of the circle for the full level is approximately 1.75" (4.45 CM) from the bottom of the dipstick.
The bottom of the circle for the 1 quart low level is approximately 0.75" (1.91 CM) from the bottom of the dipstick.
The part number stamped into my dipstick is 12590896, which is still the current part number. This is the only dipstick that can be used in a 2005-2009 Chevy Equinox/Pontiac Torrent w/3.4L V6 engine.

The total length is 21.5 inches (54.61 CM). This measurement includes the 0.25" (0.64 CM) depth of the recessed area on the dipstick handle that covers the dipstick tube when the dipstick is fully seated. This represents the true length of the dipstick that resides within the dipstick tube when the dipstick is fully seated.
