It could be a lot of problems, but without the code to narrow it down or the car in front of us theres not a lot we can do on a forum

if the car is unsafe from the abs false activating...ie you press the brake and the abs pump dumps all the hydraulic pressure....and you can't stop. Unitll it is fixed, pull the abs fuse to disable the abs system. This way you will at least have normal service braking.

Default tech 2 - follow up Equinox abs

I have been driving my car to see if its only at slow speeds as you had mentioned. And yes, it usually occurs at slow speeds. I will check on the codes and the wiring harness.

taking it to the dealers is $$$$$$.
hope to get the problem solved soon.

pulling the abs fuse will stop the false activation....as long as your ok with the abs, traction control and stability control systems disabled. the service brakes will work normal.

the code that came back was DTC:
1. C0036 L/F wheel speed sensor performance.
2. performed circuit check for wheel speed sensor - failed

disconnect the l/f wss connector and measure the resistance of the sensor. iirc it should be 800 to 1400 ohms.
set your dvom to a/c volts and spin the wheel, you should get a small a/c voltage 0.1

if that's ok, ohm check the wires from the ebcm to the wss.

would also remove the loom on the harness where it goes along the control arm, wires like to get broken in that area

wss = ?
iirc = ?
dvom = ?

besides the codes. this is what was done to the car - rec new sensor w/hub. performed wheel speed sensor replacement, verified operation, cleared codes & performed road test - OK.

when I went to pick up the car, I drove 1/2 mile down the road and the same thing happened. ABS lights came on again.
253 CSCT $182.00
22676175 sensor kit $180.00

what would be next to fix the problem? I can drive it but would like to resolve the issue.

see if the code is the same and if it reoccurred that fast I would be taking it back for another go, something isn't right.
