Default 2005 Equinox weird backend noise

Need some help or direction I have a 2005 Equinox and there is a grinding noise coming from the back it's really noticeable when I make a left turn. Any thoughts as to what it could be?

Have you checked the differential fluid? Also it is not regular rear end fluid.

If your Equinox has AWD then I might suspect low rear differential fluid as previously mentioned or other worn drivetrain parts. It can't be low if there aren't any leaks though.

If it is just FWD, then you probably have a bad rear wheel bearing/hub assembly. If they've never been replaced and you have more than 100K miles on it, they're due for replacement. They don't need to be replaced in pairs, but when one side goes out, the other side usually follows suit shortly thereafter.
