Default 2006 Equinox EVAP

were is the evap canister located on a 2006 equinox ? I Have a large leak in the evap system, PO455 please help !

The EVAP emissions canister is located under the center of the vehicle. It has three EVAP line connections. The EVAP fresh air, the EVAP vent and the EVAP purge lines.

Thank you very much !! I will get under there and see if a line is off , hopefully I can find the problem so my check engine light will go off !!

Sure thing, if you do find a broken or loose line, repair it as needed then disconnect your battery for about 10-15 min, that will reset your codes if you dont have a scanner to do it.

I checked all the lines and cant find anything loose or disconnected, I have replaced the gas cap with a new one, the PO455 code shows it might be a defective purge or vent solenoid , could you please advise as where this might be located ? thanks again for your assistance.

Do you have the 3.4 or the 3.6 engine? I am sure its the 3.4 but just checking.

Its on the intake manifold, I can look up a diagram later tonight.

The evaporative vent solenoid is located on the top of the EVAP canister.

Here is a pic of where the purge valve is on the intake manifold...
