2006 equinox lt no crank/no start
Just wanted to throw this out there. Should I have 6.7 volts into my ignition relay when I turn the key? Don’t know if it’s the ignition switch.and wanted to ego on testing. Battery good , starter good . Runs jumping ign relay.
I don't think 6.7 volts is quite enough to close a 12V relay. If the engine starts and runs when bypassing only the Ignition Main relay, the ignition switch could be bad. You need to see if you have 12 volts at the pink wire coming from the ignition switch with the key in the RUN and START positions. If that checks good, then the ignition switch is good and you have a bad connection somewhere between the ignition switch, the BCM, and the Ignition Main relay that you need to chase down (see attached wiring diagram). It's common on the 2005-2009 Equinox for the connector under the fuse block to develop a bad connection over time so I'd start there. The wire in that connector you're looking for is also pink (C2 connector, pin 30).
It's also possible that the Ignition Main relay simply isn't touching the terminals in the underhood fuse block. You can disassemble the fuse block and carefully pinch the terminals for the Ignition Main relay closer together. This is easier than it sounds so don't be intimidated by that. This is a somewhat common problem with GM vehicles in general that sometimes throws a P1682 code.

Ruly73 thank you for your response. . I checked connection under box, and starter switch , voltage coming from switch on start was close to battery voltage. I then went to safety switch and place jumper on plug battery feed coming in and bk/og wire to computer. It started on every try, I then tried to take it apart , what a job it’s under battery holder , had to take off fuse box and disconnect wiring. Currently in process of taking out tray I little hung up with one bolt . If you have any inf on placing it back much appreciated. Thanks again for your help.
I bought my 2012 Chevy equinox used, couple months ago I started having a problem with it starting. It is random and doesn't always do it. But I put the key in the ignition, everything comes on with no problem. Nothing is dim. Try turning it on and it just clicks once and that's it. I turn the key off and take it out and try again. Sometimes it will start right up the second time, others it's three to four times before it will start. Does anyone have any suggestions before I have to take it to the dealership? I have checked the cables and nothing is loose or corroded. I'm at my wits end with it.

I'm glad to hear you got it fixed. I saw your other thread asking which plug was C1, but I couldn't find anything in the resources I have access to that labeled which plug it was. I'm sure something like AllData or the factory service manual has this info, but I don't have access to those materials.
