Default 2007 Equinox load leveling

Greetings everyone, I just bought a 2007 Equinox a few months ago and installed the factory option Class II hitch in order to carry my Segway X2 on the back. After just a few hundred miles I noticed the rear sagging and now after only 635 miles carrying the Segway, 154lbs including the SegHauler, I have noticed that the rear suspension is sitting on the bump stops 100% of the time the Segway is riding on the back.

I bought an AirLift suspension kit for this Equinox but then realized that I need to completely disassemble the rear end in order to remove the bump stops and the towers from the center of the coil springs in order to install the Air Bags.

I don't like this - and suggestions?
