2012 Equinox Door ajar inidicator
My wife has a 2012 Equinox indicating the driver's rear door is open all the time. I have checked the wires coming from B pillar and they appear okay but I may have to check them using a meter from connector inside door. I suspect the door ajar sensor I've read about online is bad.
My questions:
My questions:
- Is this sensor attached to the latch inside the door?
- Does the sensor unplug from latch or come out with the latch by removing the bolts holding the latch?
- Part number or picture of this sensor?

Just curious if this fixed your problem. We just bought a 2012 Equinox for my daughter and it is having the same issue. Always thinks the rear driver side door is open. I've tried spraying Silicone spray and contact cleaner on the latch but that didn't help. I've been trying to find a your tube video of replacing the door latch, but haven't had much luck. I can do basic mechanical work, but not sure what I am getting into with this.

sew hasn't been back in a few years so it's unlikely you'll get an answer. It's better to post a new thread rather than dig up old ones.
Anyway, as suggested the problem is usually the latch. If no that then broken wires in the door harness.
