Hello Everyone,
The outside edge of my cloth drivers seat is showing wear. Does anyone know if only the front seat cushions can be switched to even out wear with front passenger seat cushion?
I would like to avoid de installing entire seat if possible? Any insight would be appreciated.

Probably not. On many GM vehicles the passenger presence sensor for the airbag is integrated into the seat cushion of the front passenger seat. You might have better luck finding an identical, used seat from a junkyard.

 

True. But both seats have airbags sensors so is there unique differences other than left and right that would make it impossible to interchange like different airbag connectors etc.?

 

No, you're misinformed. Only the front passenger seat has a passenger presence sensor integrated into the lower seat cushion (see parts diagrams linked here). There are multiple diagrams for the seats because power seats and heated seats were optional. Obviously, the driver's seat is always occupied when the vehicle is being driven so having a presence sensor in the driver's seat is unnecessary.
