We recently lost one of our Key FOBs for this vehicle. I've purchased a new one online, genuine GM part. There is a process in the vehicle manual for programming the FOBs, but not specific to programming a replacement. The closest I can see is for replacing all with new ones. The first part of the process appears to make the vehicle forget all current Key FOBs for the vehicle and then you program the new FOBs. I am of the belief that I could use this process in my situation and my old FOB as well as the new one would then be programmed as if both were new.

Is there anyone here knowledgeable enough about the process to say if this would work? The obvious downside if it did not work is being left with a car that I cannot start.
