I agree that EGR valves in particular, and the occasional fuel sending unit (not the fuel pump) seem to fail somewhat often, but these are separate issues that are not related to bad chips on the PCM which the TSB specifically addresses.

GM changed the EGR valve in 2007. Any 2005-2006 models that need the EGR valve replaced are supposed to be changed to the 2007-2009 style on the 3.4L. It requires a new EGR valve, a different EGR to exhaust manifold pipe, and a PCM recalibration.

can egr valve be the problem of cold start? when its -5 and lower the car not starts. it cranks but not starts. if you will touch a gas pedal a little bit it starts but first 2-3 seconds working not on all cylinders.

what is a part nr. for new egr valve?

Unless you are getting troublecodes related to the EGR valve, it should be fine. The next time you go to start the car when it's cold, prime the engine. Do this by turning the key to the run position and leave it there for a couple seconds. Then turn the key off and repeat this one more time. Then try to start it, and see what happens. If this helps then your fuel pressure regulator could be bad. This usually doesn't trigger any troublecodes or cause any noticeable driveability issues aside from hard cold (engine, not weather) starts.

Also, have you ever replaced the battery? If not, I'd replace it just because you're already on borrowed time, and it may not be able to produce enough current for the started to turn the engine over as fast as it should. If your have a 2006 Equinox, there's a good chance that it was assembled in 2005 and the battery is now over 7 years old. Make sure the replacement battery provides at least as much power (CCA) as the factory battery.

the battery was changed last winter. there is no problem with the battery 100%. its spining it like crazy!
and it happens only when its very cold. when its normal temperatures like 0--5 it starts perfectly.

It's possible. Was it sitting outside or in the garage? What catches my eye is the difference between the (ambient) air temp and the intake (air) temp. I might suspect a bad intake air temp sensor. Unfortunately, it is integrated into the MAF on the 05-09 Equinox 3.4L.

The only major engine components that GM changed between 2005-2006 and 2007-2009 are the EGR Valve and the Electronic Throttlebody. I know for sure that GM does have a TSB out to have 2005-2006 models updated to the later style EGR valve if a problem arises. I don't have access to my source at this time so I can't check right this moment, but as far as I know off the top of my head, GM does not have a TSB out to have the throttlebody updated for 2005-2006 models.
