You're using the wrong harness and/or you connected some wires incorrectly.
What adapter harness did you use? What interface device(s)?
Does your Equinox have the premium system with the subwoofer or the basic system?

Default Aftermarket

I went to a stereo place had them install it gauges were fine and working.. now when I pull the radio fuse out the gauge cluster intermittently works not sure what harness they used.. it’s all after market from car speakers to a sub in back.. I know as far as no sound coming out of the speakers is because of the factory amp for them is in protection mode and need to hardwire the speakers from what I read but the instruments not sure about bypassing anything

Something isn't wired properly or you have a bare wire touching something somewhere. It's as simple as that. If it's installed properly, the radio shouldn't affect the gauges at all. How much time has passed between when the radio was installed to when you started having problems?

Take it back to the installer and tell them to fix it.
