ihave 2010 with the 4 cyl. the check eng. light came on and i checked the computer and found the code poo13.my book said it is the crankshaft position acuator B-bank 1 circuit malfunction..any idears????

 

most of the time the camshaft actuators are bad. They control movement of the camshaft for the vvt. It is not a camshaft sensor so do not replace that.


You will have to find out if its for the intake or exhaust camshaft actuator(refer to the code). They are located on the top of the engine, right of the ignition coils.

 

Ok Thanks..My code reader only says P0013 and i cant find a repair manual for the 2010 up.The only manuals i see only go up to 2009.So im kinda at a loss here.

 

p0013 is for the exhaust. so it will be the actuator closer to the exhaust manifold side.


remember, this is a likely culprit but only proper testing can ensure a 100% guarantee proper fix.
