Oil and Filter

I just traded my 05 Trailblazer in for an 08 Equinox LT 3.4L. Can anyone tell me where the oil filter is and how much oil is needed? Thanks!

If you have an owners manual, it will tell you exactly how much oil you need. The oil filter is easy enough to find. Just look underneath and if it has never been changed before, it will be blue.

I checked the manual. All I could find was the oil weight not quantity. I think my Impala I had a few years ago with a 3.4 took 5.5 quarts, but I can't remember..

Ok I'm at school so I can access alldata.
It should be in your owners manual somewhere.

4qts Engine oil with filter change (approximate; always check and add as needed)
PF47 oil filter.
