Default oil pan gasket and electric parking brake

A couple of questions about my new to me 2020 Equinox 1.5L turbo.

1 Is the oil pan drain plug gasket reusable? Never seen one like it.

2 Owners manual says that some type maintenance is required on the electric parking brake. What type maintenance is this?

You might get away with it but replacement is always best practice. These fit my '22 1.5L, yours is probably the same but verify.Drain Plug Gasket OE Part # 12616850
Drain Plug Gasket Fel-Pro 70820
Drain Plug Gasket NAPA / MAHLE Part #: MOG B32655

All the manual seems to state is a procedure to verify the brake holds. No further guidance is given beyond, bring it in for service. You can download info from Mitchell for about $20. Make an afternoon of it. It will answer so many of the questions you'll see on the forum.

I just figured out that the drain plug is recessed for the gasket. I thought it was more complicated than that is why I was asking.
Thanks for the reply.

Mine is. the rubber gasket is pressed onto the plug. Still no issues after 70k
If it doesn't seep then you're good to go. It might wear out eventually.

probably lubrication to keep it from rusting and seizing up.

Mine is also the rubber gasket but not pressed on. With the head of the plug machined it looks like an O ring would work just as well.
