Hello i have a 2006 Equinox with no heat,i found out it is the heat balance arm,for the cold to hot temp.Inside of the car does any one know the way to take apart the Dash of the 06 Equinox,to get at the heater system.The local GM dealer wants $900 to fix it, the balance arm is only $55 for the part,so i am trying to save myself a lot of money.Any help on how to remove the dash would be greatly help full.

Had the same problem. GM extended the warranty to 10 years and 193,000 miles. Glad to have it fixed. Also you can buy the blend door repair kit from Rockauto. The part come with instruction on how to dismantle the dash for repair. Hope this helps.
