We need to store our 2008 Equinox for several months in the summer.
I want to remove the battery but have heard that doing so may risk losing vital computer settings. As it will be kept outdoors with no access to electricity a maintainer isn't feasible.
Is there some kind of solar-powered gadget that will keep the battery charged OR maintain the computer settings without a battery in the vehicle?

We appreciate any guidance.

 

you will lose the time on the clock, stored radio stations, and some display setting in the cluster. Is it worth worrying about?
