I am trying to get the XM activated, but when I press the BAND button, XM FEATURE displays, but then immediatly returns to AM/FM. How do I get the RADIO ID #? I've read I may need a kit, by installing this kit, does that allow me to locate the ID #? Is the kit hidden once installed?

 

I'm having the same issue with my 2008 Chevrolet Equinox. They have told me that I will need to install a tuner into my radio which will enable the vehicle to receive XM. I've heard that it costs $100-$150 to install the tuner at a car audio store.
