Default Putting 20" Wheels on a Express Conversion Van ??

Looking to buy a new set of wheels and tires for my 2005 Chevy Express 1500 Conversion Van. I see several of these Conversion van coming from the Conversion companies with 20" wheels on them. I'd like to put some on mine. But would like to find some GM factory take offs

So my question is are the 2005 Express Van bolt pattern and offsets the same as the 2000 and up Chevy Suburban and Tahoe's?

I see a lot of 20" Factory GM wheels for sale on Ebay and was wondering if Suburban wheels will fit the Express vans?

Anybody have a conversion van with 18" or 20" wheels on it?

You see, on my 2010 Express AWD, I have low offset mags 17" and they come out of the fenders. My tires are 285-70-17 and they are much wider then the original 245. I dont know if you can get more then low offset.

Any tire shop or better yet a dealer tire guy should be able to tell you the two offsets.
My concern with 20's is you are going to lose a lot of carrying power on that van. Pimp wheels and tires are meant for show not work. Double check the weight ratings of the wheels and tires to know how much less you can carry or tow.

20" wheels come on standard on most new Conversion vans now. The Suburban and Silverado come from the factory with 20"s. Doesn't affect your carrying capacity, you can still run XL tires on them.

I stand corrected.
I always advice on using LT tires not Passenger. So if XL rating is what your door sticker calls for and your happy with that, then you should be fine. Call a tire shop and they can check the bolt pattern, but I bet its the same.
I have a 2002 express 2500 passenger and mine calls for Lt load range E. So its hard to figure that a conversion half ton would call for xl, which is several ratings down the list. But I see it all the time on here.

OK, according to American Racing Wheel this is what you need to use on 2005 express vans.

Wheel Size and Offset:
17" x 8.5 +20mm
18" x 9 +20mm
20" x 9 +20mm

offset will very a little due to the wheel style and material used (like steel vs. alloy wheels)

Bolt pattern in the same 6x139.7
